I just love photography real estate when the homes are this gorgeous! It's an easy subject and fun to do! This property was sold by Linde Properties in Rancho Santa Fe, a beautiful community in San Diego. This home reminds me of a resort!

Real Estate Photography Tips
Tips for even those who don't have a big fancy camera and want to photograph their home for Real Estate purposes. I see way too many bad photos done my agents and owners. It really does injustice to your home if the first thing most people see are the online photos of your home that don't show your home well. So if you can't hire a professional photographer, try these tips.
1)Turn off your flash unless you have an off the camera flash! You are going to use Exposure Compensation instead and use longer exposure times. Dial it up 2/3rds a stop.
2) Use a tripod to allow for longer exposure times.
3) Shoot in the middle of the day for the best lighting.
4) We want warm tones not cold tones, make sure the White Balance is on cloudy or shade...this warms up your shots.
5) Take a lot of photos, people these days want to see more than just the front of the house.
6) Remove clutter and stage it professionally or have your relator help you. Your personal belongings and clutter kill a real estate photo. I can't tell you how many times I see photos of peoples homes on the market with bad decorating or personal belongings.
7) EDIT EDIT EDIT, all photographs need to be edited that are digital and so do home shots. You can brighten, fix saturation, sharpen, and tweak the contrast in a few simple steps. It makes the difference between a dull photograph and a bright photograph with depth. Good luck! When in doubt just hire a photographer! :)
